2 Rainbows
Saw 2 rainbows streaking across the sky yesterday, one can be clearly seen while the other one above it is very faint. So pretty, the buildings look like it's inside a bubble. Wonder if there's a pot of gold at the red rooftop building...... :P

Homemade Cantonese Lunar New Year cookies
Kok zhai is a traditional Cantonese Chinese new year cookie made with dough and peanut fillings. My family will gather each year before the Lunar new year to make the cookies for the whole clan. My dad will be responsible for making and cutting the dough into little round flat circle pieces, my aunt will fry the cookies, and the rest of the family volunteers will pitch in to make the cookies by filling and pleating the cookies by hand to give it the "curry puff" look. :)

Newly listed on almondtree . artfire
Bought this pretty purple stone while I was shopping for new year clothes. I used non-tarnish silver artisticwire to wirewrap the bead. I wanted to the pendant to look more "bubbly and round", thought it will look better with the stone laying horizontal on the wirewrapped frame so I twisted all the wires to the side of the bead.

Amateur Mint planting
I bought a pot of mint plant from a stall at the Sentosa flower festival, the mint smells really nice. Plants don't usually last long under my care...so I decide to propogate the mint plant, cutted 4 sprigs off and plonked them into a pot of soil. But the next day, they look so limpy. After surfing through the net for info, I found out I should root them in water before planting O_o and voila, they are alive again..phew
Photo on the left shows the poor things in the morning after their soil ordeal and the photos on the right and bottom are taken in the afternoon. Btw, the little containers are mint clorets containers kekeke recycle recyle.. but must remember to take them out before the roots grow too big :oP

Refurbished door
Refurbished for the New Year: I scrubed the door with steel wool then painted about 4 coats of tan color acrylic paint for the whole door (hopefully it will not crack over time). I painted the flowers using burnt umber acrylic paint, varying the amount of water to paint to get the different shades of brown.
